Why book a boudoir session with you?
My philosophy as a boudoir photographer is simple: YOU are a beautiful person and YOU need beautiful images of yourself. However, booking boudoir varies from people to people. Some book it to celebrate a milestone or goal they accomplished and they want portraits of themselves, some book it to create an album or printed gifts for their significant other. Whatever the reason maybe, a boudoir session with Honey Pixels is an experience rooted in exploring, discovering and celebrating your femininity! It’s a session that is meant to empower you and celebrate what makes you feel beautiful and badass.
Who will be the photographer?
All boudoir sessions are photographed by me, Sarah. I will be your guide and hypewoman throughout the session I promise to create a safe and stress-free environment and experience for you. All poses will be directed by me with respect to your comfort.
What about hair and makeup?
The session fee includes hair and makeup by a professional artist. This added benefit will give you time to relax before your session, feel pampered and because our artist is a professional, this will ensure you will look your best! Our artist can base it off your inspo photos or keep it naturally you with just a little oomph!
I feel very nervous about this, what can I do to calm my nerves?
This is normal and I understand your nerves. I remember my first time doing boudoir and I keep this in mind to figure out ways to make you feel comfortable. We already feel nervous in front of the camera when we are fully clothed, imagine with little to no clothing at all bearing yourself to a stranger? But remember this: you did the first step in conquering your fear/nerves, you jumped and booked a session! Also, you’re not alone. I’m here to help you through every step of the booking process, preparation and on the day of your session. Honey Pixels Boudoir Experience is more than just getting sexy images of yourself, we are here to celebrate who you are and what makes YOU feel beautiful. I will work with you and support you throughout the whole process.
Do I bring my own lingerie? What do I wear?
Yes. Find outfits that you feel amazing in! Boudoir is no longer limited to just lingerie; get creative with your pieces (sweater, robe, shirts, shorts, hats, etc.) Once you are booked, I will be sending a PREP + STYLE Guide that have links to places to shop online. Also, our clients have access to our Client Closet. As of June 2020, our Client Closet has limited options but have sizes that range from S-3XL/4XL (let us know if you would like to see the options).
During your in-person consultation or video consultation, show me what you currently have or bring anything that makes you feel beautiful on the day of your session! I’ll help you choose the outfit choices during your makeup session. Most clients bring a small luggage with them which is amazing because there are so many choices to make your 2-3 outfits. Whatever you feel beautiful in, bring it and rock it! Or get naked, which no one can ever go wrong with ;)
Will my images be posted online?
I respect the privacy of my clients. The photos I post online are approved by clients and chosen by them through their galleries. As a client, your gallery is hidden and password protected so you can download and order albums and prints in peace.
Do I need to know how to pose?
No because I will be the one who will guide you 100% during the session. You don’t have to be a seasoned model to book a session. Boudoir is for everyone and you don’t need to worry about posing or angles because I am here for you! I will make sure you look your best and feel like the supermodel that you are!
Could I bring a friend to the session?
I would prefer to keep your session limited to just you and myself, however, if you are certain that your friend will not affect your focus - please let me know prior to the session. Your friend can hang out in the room when you do your hair and makeup and in the main space of our office. Please note that I do not allow anyone to be present in the room while the session is ongoing.
How far in advance do I need to book a session with you?
I recommend 4-6 weeks prior to your ideal session. If you need a certain product, please book it 6 weeks to when you need the item. For example, if you would like to gift your partner an album for Valentine’s Day - book your session in December. If you need images sooner, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
How much is all this?
The initial cost, which is the session fee is $450. This session fee does not include digitals or print products. This only includes: hair and makeup, access to a client closet, prep + styling guide, 1 hour and a half session with 3 outfits (implied or full nudity included at the request of the client) and private reveal + online ordering session.
Digital Collections start at $650, A La Carte Items start at $550, and Collections start at $1,760
Are my photos retouched?
During your reveal, every image you see is retouched. Once you purchase a digital/album collection and select your images, you can also request additional retouches. I retouch the following: wrinkles, crows-feet, under-eye bags, pimples, excess shine, moles, scars while keeping it true to you.
When can I see my images?
Your private gallery reveal will a week and a half from your session. We will meet at the studio, look through you gallery, choose your collection choice and images. If you choose any of the Honey Collections, you can immediately start choosing images for your products.
